    Avoid having an alcoholic drink the night before – no matter how bad your nerves are
    Decline a hot drink if possible as shaky hands do put people off
  • Typical questions you may be asked
    Tell me about yourself ?
    Why do you want his job?
    What could you bring to this company?
    Why are you leaving your current job?
    If I were to ask your last Boss what he thought of you – what would he say?
    Name 3 key achievements since you left school
    What are your strengths?
    What are your weaknesses?
  • Before the interview finishes
    Ask your questions (about 5 is fine)
    How big is the company?
    What is the reason for this vacancy?
    Who would I be reporting to if I got the job?
    Is there a second and third stage to the interview?
    Thank the interviewer for their time
    Confirm what the next stage will be
    Respond with a good handshake
  • In the car park
    Switch your phone on and call Regis Recruitment
    Discuss the issues you thought may be important
    Clarify any areas of doubt – do you think you made a good impression?
    Wait for a few minutes and take your time in leaving
    Remember, your nerves may be still on edge
    Negotiating the salary and any other package benefit should be discussed prior the second interview with the Consultant
